Everything you need, nothing you don’t
After feeling like we waited ages for it to finally arrive, I’ve just returned from a week in beautiful Paphos. This was our first holiday as a family of four, so we opted for an all-inclusive holiday village that turned out to be perfect for our two kids under 3 years old and just as ideal for us to switch off for a bit too. (I’m pretty sure I could do with another week away after chasing the kids around the swimming pool and sliding down waterslides for 7 days).
However, there’s one thing that stood out to me the most over the last few weeks, and it’s the amount of last minute ‘discounted upgrades’ I was offered by our holiday provider. Anything from Nat Geo tours of Paphos Old Town to a VIP Lounge with Champagne at Birmingham Airport have landed in my inbox or as a notification on my phone – both things that probably aren’t the best idea for a 1 and 3-year-old.
After some further digging, I did however end up booking Airport Parking and Fast Track Security, albeit via two different websites and neither directly with our travel company.
Anyone thinking of going through any UK airport with 2 young kids and not happy to pay £6 to skip the security queues is clearly bonkers - trust me, it’s a game changer…
Now, you’re probably wondering what on earth this has to do with business software, but stick with me, as I’ve got two things to highlight.
1. Everything you need, nothing you don’t.
Just like the holiday provider offering us ‘add-ons’ we really don’t need, we often see many software companies offering rigid off the shelf solutions that might do 60-70% of what you need and plenty of things that you’ll never use. That means you’ve either got to find a workaround for the other things it’s lacking or fund another piece of software to fill the gaps.
At MPX, we often use the term Everything you need and nothing you don’t. Our features are perfectly suited to most businesses, however at the heart of MPX is the ability to book 1-on-1 development time with our code ninjas to shape the system to your exact needs, so you’ve got all the tools you need in one place.
2. Relationships are everything.
Although our software can be tailored to most businesses, we don’t believe in onboarding new customers for the sake of it, if we don’t think we’re the right fit.
Our aim is to build long-term relationships with our customers, understanding the needs of their business exactly and provide a reliable solution that adapts and moulds as their business grows and changes direction. We strive to integrate seamlessly into our customers’ teams and continuously exceed expectations.
If we don’t feel like part of your team, then we’ve dropped the ball. Simple.
If you’re looking to implement your very own BOSS (Business Operating System as a Service) and want a long-term partner to do it with, then we’d love to hear from you.
