Meet the Team: Simon Belcher - Operations Director

Name: Si Belcher

Role: Operations Director & Co-Founder

How long have you worked at MPX? Since day 1, started the company with David on 18th March 2015.

Describe your job in three words:
Rewarding, challenging, fun.

Best thing about being part of the MPX Team?
They're just a great bunch of people to work with, all very much in sync with similar values and goals. We're very lucky to have the team that we've got.

What’s the coolest thing you’re working on right now?
Seeing the company grow from strength to strength and the satisfaction of delivering exciting new features to our customers that impact their day-to-day in real-time.

What’s the most exciting part of your current job role?
Seeing how much of an impact our software has on our customers businesses and their staff. There's nothing better than hearing how much of a difference a new feature has made to our customers daily lives.

What did you want to grow up to be when you were a kid?
I wanted to be in the RAF like my grandfather, specifically an engineer.

Do you have any hidden talents or skills? What are they? I've had many hobbies and interests in my life, but for the past 7 years I've been training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (currently a brown belt, one short of black). I've competed many times with mixed results but really found my passion in coaching which I've been doing now for just over 2 years.

Tell us something interesting about you? During Covid I went on a mission to understand as much as I could about what was sweeping the globe, I ended up reading all of the immunology and virology textbooks up to (approximately) the level of a year 2 medical student — It is both a blessing and a curse that I find most things interesting.

We’re building a company people love. A company that will stand the test of time. So we invest in, and surround ourselves with good people, and optimise our culture for long term job satisfaction and achievement.
